Date: 23rd July
Deity: Neptune
Observances: Build huts of foliage, feasts

The Neptunalia was an obscure festival, and little is known about its specific rituals and traditions. However, it was a time for celebration and amusement. People would build huts of branches and foliage, known as umbrae, where they could feast, drink, and enjoy themselves. The festival may have also included games and other forms of entertainment.

The Neptunalia continues to be celebrated in the city of Sousse, Tunisia, under the name Carnival of Awussu. However, the modern celebration has lost its religious connotations and is now primarily a cultural and festive event.
