Epione

Epione wasn’t just the goddess of pain relief; she personified the entire process of healing and recovery. Her name, derived from the word “epios” meaning “soothing,” reflects her gentle touch and nurturing spirit. Epione was believed to preside over everything from easing physical discomfort to guiding patients on the road to wellness.

Their union was further blessed with five daughters, the Asclepiades: Hygeia (Good Health), Panacea (Cure-All), Iaso (Healing), Aegle (Radiance), and Aceso (Curing).
