Mama Cocha

Mama Cocha was the Inca goddess of the sea and fish, protecting sailors and fishermen. In one legend, she is portrayed as the mother of Inti, the sun god, and Mama Killa, the moon goddess, with Viracocha, the creator deity.

Mama Cocha is considered one of the four elemental mothers, along with Mama Nina (Mother of Fire), Pachamama (Mother Earth), and Mama Wayra (Mother of the Winds). Interestingly, she, Pachamama, and Mama Killa are believed to represent the three phases of the moon.
