Ocelus

Ocelus stands as an enigmatic figure in the pantheon of Celtic gods. Known only from three inscriptions found in Roman Britain, he has piqued the curiosity of archaeologists and historians alike.

These inscriptions depict Ocelus alongside Roman deities, most notably Mars. This association has led some to believe he was a Celtic god of war, similar to Mars. However, the limited evidence makes it difficult to definitively determine his origins or area of influence. Some scholars propose he may have been a local Silurian god, while others suggest a broader reach within Celtic religion.
