Alexiares & Anicetus

Alexiares and Anicetus, two minor deities in Greek mythology, held sway over the defense and fortification of towns and citadels.

Residence: Mount Olympus
Parents: Heracles and Hebe

Born of the union of Heracles and Hebe after the hero’s ascent to Mount Olympus, they inherited their father’s valor and protective instincts. Their names, derived from Greek roots, signify their roles: “the unconquerable one” from the word “anikêtos,” and “he who wards off war” from the combination of “alexis” and “arês.”

As gatekeepers of Olympus, Alexiares and Anicetus assumed a crucial role in safeguarding the divine realm, much like their renowned father, Heracles. Their divine lineage and association with defense underscored their significance in ensuring the security and protection of Olympus against external threats.
